Gutter Cleaning in St. Petersburg
Gutters and downspouts cleared, flushed and checked, with photos of anything we find. Most homes $150–$350.
What a clean includes
- Clear by hand. Debris out of every run and bagged, not flushed down the downspout where it becomes a blockage further along.
- Downspouts flushed. Water down every one until it runs clear at the bottom. If one is blocked we clear it rather than noting it and leaving.
- Check while we are up there. Hangers, slope, corners, the back edge and the fascia. You get told what we found.
- Tidy up. Debris bagged and taken, the area below blown down.
How often, in this climate
The honest answer depends entirely on what is over your roof.
| What is over the roof | Realistic interval |
|---|---|
| Nothing overhanging | Every 18–24 months |
| Some tree cover nearby | Once a year |
| Live oaks or cabbage palms overhead | Twice a year |
| Slash pines overhead | Twice a year, or fit micro-mesh guards |
If you are on the twice-a-year end of that, guards usually pay for themselves in a few years.
Timing it right
The most useful clean of the year is before the summer rains, around May or early June. A gutter packed with winter and spring debris is the single most common reason a system overflows in the first real storm of the season. The second most useful is after oak catkin drop in spring.
Cost
| Home | St. Pete range |
|---|---|
| Small single-story | $150–$220 |
| Typical single-story | $180–$280 |
| Large or two-story | $280–$450 |
| Heavily clogged, first clean in years | Add $60–$140 |
| Clearing a blocked underground drain | Quoted on site |
Ranges cover typical St. Petersburg homes. A first clean after several years, or a blocked underground drain, costs more, and we tell you before starting, not after.
Common questions
Do you clean the outside of the gutter too?
Brightening the outer face is a separate job; it is a wash, not a clean-out, and it is priced separately. Ask when you book and we will quote both.
What do you do with the debris?
Bagged and taken with us. It does not go in your green bin unless you ask us to leave it there.
Can you clean gutters with guards on?
Yes. It is a different job: debris off the top of the guard, and lifting sections where fine grit has built underneath. Usually quicker and cheaper than an unguarded clean.
Will you tell me if something needs fixing?
Yes, with photos. A clean is the best chance anyone gets to look closely at the whole system, and it would be daft not to tell you what we saw.
Is it cheaper if I book a regular slot?
Yes. Twice-yearly customers get a better rate per visit because we can route the work efficiently rather than fitting in one-offs.
