Gutter Repair in St. Petersburg
Leaking corners, sagging runs, loose downspouts and storm damage. Most repairs land between $200 and $660, and we will tell you honestly when repair is throwing good money after bad.
What usually goes wrong here
Leaking corners
Mitred corners are the weak point of any gutter system. The sealant is doing the work, and sealant in Florida sun has a limited life. A corner that drips is usually a strip-out and re-seal rather than a new corner, as long as the metal itself is sound.
Sagging in the middle of a run
Nearly always hangers. Older homes often have spike-and-ferrule: a long nail driven through the front lip into the fascia. They loosen, the run droops, water pools in the dip, the weight pulls it down further. We re-hang with hidden hangers screwed into solid wood, which does not have the same failure mode.
Overflow at one spot
Usually a blockage at the outlet or an undersized downspout, not a gutter fault. Sometimes it is a valley dumping more water into one point than the gutter below can take, which is a sizing problem and no amount of repair fixes it.
Detached or crushed downspouts
Common after a storm, and common where a car door or a mower has caught one. Straps, elbows and a new length of downspout are an inexpensive fix.
Water running behind the gutter
Water coming off the shingle edge and landing behind the back of the gutter rather than in it. That is a drip-edge problem and it is the one that quietly rots fascia, because you cannot see it happening.
When we will tell you to replace instead
If the run is sectional and leaking at multiple joints, if the fascia behind it is soft, or if the gutter is simply too small for the roof, repairing it is money spent on a system that will be back. We will say so, give you both numbers, and let you decide. Replacement details here.

Common questions
Is a small repair worth a call-out?
If it is one corner, it is usually worth bundling with a clean or another small job so the trip earns its keep. Tell us everything that is bothering you and we will price it in one visit.
Can you match my existing gutter?
For repairs we match profile and size, and get as close on color as the finish range allows. Existing aluminum has faded, so an exact match to old gutter is not realistic.
My gutter overflows but it looks clean. Why?
Usually sizing or slope. A 5-inch gutter on a large or steep roof plane simply cannot take a Florida downpour, and water overshoots the front lip. That is a replacement conversation, not a repair one.
Do you handle storm damage insurance claims?
We document what we find with photographs and give you an itemized quote you can hand to your adjuster. We do not file the claim for you.
How soon can you come out?
Repairs are usually quicker to schedule than full installs. Call and we will tell you honestly where you fall in the week.
